Appraiser Designations
In order to complete an appraisal for a federally related
mortgage transaction, an appraiser must be licensed in the state
that he or she works. There are three levels of
licensing:
- licensed
- certified
- general certified
In addition, appraisers may further their knowledge within the
profession through various organizations and by seeking specific

AXIS believes that the best appraisers are constantly learning
more about their profession and to that end, AXIS actively seeks
certified and general appraisers who are working toward one or more
designation for membership on the AXIS panel.
